Job summary

Glean is seeking a Software Engineer, Developer Productivity to shape how our engineers build, test, and ship software. You will design and optimize Bazel-based build systems and CI/CD pipelines, while enabling AI-powered tooling across the developer workflow.

You will reduce friction, scale infrastructure, and improve reliability and cost. You will own tooling such as CLI utilities, IDE plugins, and GitHub bots, and help onboard engineers to AI-assisted coding practices.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and optimizing build systems and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong debugging skills and passion for reducing workflow bottlenecks.
• Experience with Bazel and multi-language monorepos is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize Bazel-based build systems and CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop tools and workflows (CLI utilities, IDE plugins, GitHub bots) to improve developer productivity.
• Automate debugging of flaky tests and CI failures.
• Instrument pipelines with telemetry to measure speed, reliability, and cost.
• Enable AI-powered coding assistants in daily workflows.
