Job summary

Bowhead is seeking a Software Engineer in Dahlgren, VA to support software development for Naval gun weapon systems. The role involves creating data analysis scripts in MATLAB or Python and presenting findings to prove system readiness.

Responsibilities include designing analysis materials, performing root cause analysis, and testing distributed systems during V&V sprints. A bachelor's degree and 2+ years experience are required, with interim Secret clearance desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering, scientific or technical discipline with 2+ years of related experience.
• Ability to develop MATLAB or Python scripts to process large structured data files.
• Testing and evaluation experience, and effective communication across project levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design data analysis scripts in MATLAB or Python for testing data.
• Create analysis materials, root cause analysis, and visual reports for system readiness.
• Test and operate distributed systems during V&V sprints or field tests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
