Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Software Engineer in the Advanced Hypersonic Weapons & Guided Munitions Division (E20) to support software development for Naval gun weapon systems in Dahlgren, VA. The role involves developing MATLAB data analysis scripts, designing analysis tools, and presenting findings to prove system readiness.

Responsibilities include data review from testing efforts, root cause analysis, and creating visual reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, science or technical field with 2+ years' experience.
• Proficiency in MATLAB for processing large structured data.
• Experience in testing and evaluation.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of team members.
• Ability to work independently with government/contractor personnel.
• Ability to plan tasks using Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word).

Responsibilities

• Develop data analysis scripts in MATLAB and review data from testing efforts.
• Design and develop analysis materials; create visual reports with 2D/3D plots.
• Present findings to support system methods, capabilities and readiness.
• Expand role to testing/distributed systems during V&V sprints or field testing.
