Job summary

Bowhead is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Advanced Hypersonic Weapons & Guided Munitions Division (E20) in Dahlgren, VA to support software development of Naval gun weapons systems. You will develop data analysis scripts in MATLAB or Python, create analysis material, perform root cause analysis, and prepare visual reports to prove system capabilities.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field with 2+ years of experience, interim Secret clearance, and the

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in an engineering, scientific or technical discipline and 2+ years of experience.
Competent in MATLAB or Python scripts to process large structured data files.
Testing and evaluation experience.
Ability to communicate with all levels of team members on the project.
Ability to work independently and interface professionally with government, contractors, and military personnel.
Ability to define task details, estimates, and schedules using Microsoft Office products (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word).
Interim Secret security clearance required; US Citizenship essential.

Responsibilities

Develop and design data analysis scripts in MATLAB or Python and review data from testing efforts.
Design and develop analysis material, root cause analysis, and prepare visual reports with two- and three-dimensional plots.
Test and operate distributed systems during Verification and Validation sprints and field testing.
Perform other duties as assigned.
