Description

You will be part of the server team that powers customer-facing features within the Apple client applications - Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, Apple TV, App Store, Apple Arcade, Fitness+, MusicKit, etc. Working cross-functionally with various teams across Apple, you will deliver exciting features to our customers. We focus heavily on web service performance, analyzing metrics like median, 95th, and 99th percentiles. If you are passionate about performance optimization, collaborative teamwork under tight deadlines, and solving complex technical problems, this role is for you. You will also have the opportunity to develop and enhance the MusicKit - Apple Music APIs for our partners and developer community. Minimum Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, plus 5 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of Java or functional languages like Clojure.
• Strong object-oriented design and analysis skills, with a deep understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs or similar technologies.
• Experience with NoSQL or document-oriented data stores (e.g., Apache Solr, Redis, Memcached, Cassandra, Voldemort, MongoDB) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and build customer-facing features across multi-functional teams.
• Experience writing effective unit and integration tests.
• Outstanding debugging, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
• Interest in music and playlists.

At Apple, base pay is part of our total compensation package, ranging from $143,100 to $264,200, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
