Job summary

The Trade Desk in Seattle is seeking a Software Engineer for Commercial Intelligence and Analytics to build high-impact analytical systems supporting Sales and Client Services. You will own the engineering lifecycle of intelligence systems from requirements through deployment, and work with Business Technology and Revenue Operations to integrate outputs into dashboards and workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or similar, with strong quantitative foundations.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with large datasets in modern data environments.
• Proficiency in Python for production systems, automation, and data pipelines.
• Solid software development practices including version control, code reviews, testing, and CI/CD.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical designs and production-ready deliverables.
• Experience building durable, automated systems and driving initiatives from concept through adoption.
• Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders, including client-facing teams.
• Familiarity with AI/LLM tools and applying them with rigor and caution.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain production systems surface revenue performance and client indicators for internal teams.
• Design, build, and operate proactive insight pipelines and data models at scale.
• Integrate intelligence outputs into dashboards, alerting, and operational workflows.
• Develop tools and automated deliverables to help prioritize effort and allocate resources effectively.
• Create trusted, production-grade data assets and pipelines with clear documentation.
• Embed AI/LLM capabilities to accelerate exploration and improve pipeline quality.
