Job summary

The Trade Desk is seeking a Software Engineer, Commercial Intelligence and Analytics to build high-impact analytical systems supporting Sales and Client Services. You will own the engineering lifecycle of intelligence systems—from requirements to deployment—collaborating with Commercial Operations, Revenue Operations, Finance and more.

You will work with Python, SQL, Snowflake, Tableau, and AI/LLM tools to deliver scalable insights, proactive signals, and production-grade data assets that

Qualifications

• 5+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, software engineering, or similar
• Strong SQL skills with large datasets
• Proficiency in Python for production systems and data pipelines
• Strong software practices: version control, code review, testing, CI/CD
• Experience translating business requirements into technical designs and deliverables
• Experience building durable automated systems and collaborating with stakeholders
• Strong communication, data quality, metric consistency, engineering rigor

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain production systems surfacing revenue performance and client health.
• Design and operate proactive insight pipelines and data models.
• Integrate intelligence outputs into dashboards, alerts, and workflows.
• Build tools, signals, and automated deliverables to guide prioritization.
• Create production-grade data assets and pipelines with validated metrics.
• Integrate AI and LLM capabilities to accelerate exploration and documentation.
• Translate commercial problems into concrete technical plans and measurable deliverables.
• Prioritize scalable investments with broad commercial impact.
• Embed intelligence outputs into go-to-market systems and monitor signal reach.
• Raise engineering standards with tests, docs, and version-controlled workflows.
