Luminous is seeking a student intern to contribute to the Lumi robotics stack across perception, navigation, and manipulation. You will evaluate state-of-the-art ML architectures and help expand MLOps pipelines for training and evaluation.

You will write production-grade code, participate in reviews, and analyze sensor data while developing visualization or debugging tools in a fast-paced startup setting.

Competenze

• Deep learning concepts and robotics stack understanding.
• Hands-on with C++, Python, ROS, Docker.
• Experience with perception algorithms is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to various parts of the Lumi robotics stack, including perception, navigation/mapping, and manipulation
• Evaluate and integrate various state-of-the-art ML architectures such as VLAs
• Participate in expanding the MLOps infrastructure by building new pipelines for training models, evaluating new architectures, and integrating with annotation tools
• Write production code following rigorous coding practices. Participate in code reviews, documentation, and cross-functional engineering meetings
• Analyzing sensor data and helping build visualization or debugging tools

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate or graduate student in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field
• Excellent understanding of Deep learning and ability to explore state-of-the-art algorithms across the Robotics stack
• Demonstrated interest in robotics, renewable energy, or clean tech
• Some hands-on experience with tools such as C++ / Python / ROS / Docker
• Git, Agile methods, Jira, or equivalent
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, startup environment and willing to roll up sleeves, no matter the task.
• Team-oriented and excited about real-world deployment challenges
• Prior experience with perception algorithms or startup operations is a plus
• Experience with Cloud infrastructure is a plus.
