About Luminous

Luminous Robotics builds the LUMI Series 4, a line of autonomous robots that install, inspect, and supply utility‑scale solar farms. We are vertically integrated, operating in the US and Australia, and our robots are deployed on active solar farm construction sites today. We are scaling fast and need an operator to scale the company alongside the CEO.

The Role

You will report directly to the CEO and serve as the operational backbone of the executive team. You will own the company's operating rhythm, drive our top priorities to completion, and build our people function from the ground up. This is a hands-on role, not an advisory one.

What You'll Own

• Executive operating cadence: run exec meetings, goal-setting, and accountability across the C-suite.
• Board and investor prep: prepare board meetings and investor updates, and support fundraising.
• CEO priorities: lead cross‑functional projects from scoping to delivery.
• Recruiting: build and run the hiring engine for engineering, operations, and field teams.
• People operations: compensation and equity frameworks, onboarding, and performance management.
• Compliance across two countries: manage US and Australian employment compliance with our PEO and legal partners.
• Org design and culture: shape the structure and culture as we scale.
• AI‑first operations: build the company's internal operating stack using AI tools, so work like recruiting, reporting, board prep, and onboarding runs with the leverage of a much larger team.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years in operations, strategy, consulting, or military leadership, with at least 2 years at a high‑growth startup.
• A track record of executing complex projects with minimal direction.
• Sound judgment and absolute discretion with confidential information.
• Comfort working with engineers, field crews, executives, and investors alike.
• AI‑native in practice. You use AI tools daily to automate, analyze, and draft, and you can point to workflows you've built that save real time.
• Hardware, robotics, energy, construction, or military experience is a strong plus.
• Experience building a people function, or managing an international workforce, is a strong plus.
• Willingness to travel to Australia periodically.

Compensation

• Base salary of $150,000 to $200,000, plus meaningful equity.
