Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Elastic Block Store (EBS) is seeking an experienced software development engineer to help build the future of cloud storage. You will own design, implementation, and operation of one of the world’s largest distributed systems, working with a tight, agile team and delivering features to real customers.

As an SDE II you’ll participate in all phases of the software lifecycle, design, code, review, test, deploy, and maintain services.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Develop software on the latest platforms and drive the roadmap for the next generation of compute instances.
• You will have an immediate impact on millions of customers, driving down latencies and improving the AWS customer experience.
• Involved in all parts of the software developer lifecycle: designing, coding, troubleshooting, testing, code reviews, deployment and maintenance.
