Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. is seeking a Software Development Manager to help define and build the future of computing within the AWS Elastic Block Store (EBS) team.

You will lead engineering efforts for one of the world’s largest distributed storage systems, collaborating with teams across AWS to deliver secure and high-performing storage in the cloud. The role emphasizes mentorship, code reviews, and career growth for engineers, with opportunities to work on foundational storage

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years of engineering experience.
• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations, or experience in developing and deploying LLMs in production on GPUs, Neuron, TPU or other AI acceleration hardware.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with and learn from industry experts to solve large-scale problems." This collaboration extends beyond just the team in EBS.
• Work with multiple AWS teams to build secure, performant, and reliable systems.
• Mentor and grow software engineers on the team, and engage in thorough, constructive code reviews.
