Job summary

OPENLANE is seeking an AI-first Software Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable internal services and APIs. You’ll work on cloud-native platforms, leverage AI for coding and debugging, and partner with Product and SMEs to deliver end-to-end solutions.

You’ll contribute to on-call rotations, improve reliability and observability, and help drive platform modernization across internal tooling and provisioning workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years building and supporting production software systems.
• Strong APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-native architecture knowledge.
• Experience with CI/CD, observability, monitoring, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable internal services and APIs.
• Collaborate with Product and SMEs to translate business needs into durable solutions.
• Use AI tools to accelerate coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Participate in on-call rotations and improve reliability, security, and observability.
