Cursor is seeking an Engineer on the Client Infrastructure team to design and build the systems that power our desktop experience for millions of developers across macOS, Windows, and Linux.

You will work across the core architecture, from build and distribution systems to performance instrumentation and shared abstractions that other teams rely on. The role emphasizes performance, reliability, and delightful developer experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in client infrastructure, including build systems, performance, distribution, or observability.
• Contributed to high-performance desktop applications, Electron-based or native.
• Strong focus on performance, reliability, and developer experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the systems that power Cursor’s desktop experience for millions of developers.
• Work across core architecture—from build and distribution to instrumentation and shared abstractions.
• Develop instrumentation, telemetry, and profiling tools to measure performance.
• Collaborate with product teams to accelerate release velocity and ship updates daily.
• Evaluate Electron vs. native approaches for critical code paths to guide architectural decisions.
