Job summary

Cursor is seeking a Software Engineer, Services Platform to build platform-level primitives that help product teams avoid brittle systems and stay resilient. You will design service provisioning, deployment tooling, and workflow orchestration to support hundreds of engineers and millions of developers.

You will work at the intersection of developer experience and production reliability, shaping how services are owned, integrated, and operated across Cursor's infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience building internal developer platforms and infrastructure abstractions.
• Extensive work with Temporal or similar durable workflow engines.
• Focus on developer experience and correct-by-default design.
• Experience with deployment tooling, CI/CD, or service mesh architectures.
• Understanding tradeoffs between microservices and monoliths.

Responsibilities

• Build platform-level primitives that reduce brittleness and improve resiliency.
• Create service provisioning and deployment tooling abstractions.
• Define ownership contracts and integrate services with Cursor's infrastructure.
• Collaborate with product teams to improve developer productivity.
