Job summary

Anysphere seeks an experienced engineer for the Client Infrastructure team to design and build systems making the desktop experience fast and reliable across macOS, Windows, and Linux. You will impact build systems, distribution, and observability in a fast-moving, product-focused environment.

You’ll work on instrumentation, telemetry, and performance profiling, while guiding architectural tradeoffs between Electron and native approaches to keep shipping updates safely and quickly.

Qualifications

• Deep experience in client infrastructure—build systems, performance, distribution, or observability.
• You’ve built or contributed to high-performance desktop applications, Electron-based or native.
• You care about performance, reliability, and developer experience, with elegant system design.

Responsibilities

• Design and build core client infrastructure and shared abstractions.
• Improve reliability and performance by eliminating memory leaks and crashes.
• Design instrumentation and telemetry systems for profiling and logging.
• Collaborate with product teams to enable faster release velocity with daily updates.
• Evaluate Electron vs. native approaches for critical code paths.
• Develop internal tooling to help engineers ship safely and quickly on the client platform.
