Job summary

NorthHill Technology Resources is seeking a Software Engineer to support a Federal program in Sterling, VA. The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance and CI polygraph, with direct-hire status for a fast-growing federal integrator.

Candidate will develop software and scripts to support CI/CD, DevSecOps, and cloud-based architectures, preferably AWS, with strong testing, documentation, and Jira-based tasking. Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, Groovy, and containerized environments is essential.

Qualifications

• Must meet DoD 8140 requirements (Security+ CE certification).
• Experience building software/scripts to support Continuous Integration/Deployment (CI/CD) and DevSecOps.
• Experience with cloud architecture (AWS preferred, Azure considered).
• Proficient in Jira story decomposition and Agile methodologies.
• Strong documentation and system testing/validation skills.
• Familiar with containerized development environments (Kubernetes, Rancher).
• Experience with API Gateways and catalogs.

SOFTWARE ENGINEER (CI POLYGRAPH REQUIRED)

NorthHill Technology Resources has a need for an a Software Developer to support a Federal Program in Sterling, VA. This is a direct-hire role with our client, a fast-growing Federal Integrator.

An active TS/SCI Clearance and CI Polygraph is required.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills :

• At a minimum, meet DOD 8140 requirements (Security+ CE Certification)
• Expertise working developing software/scripting to support Continuous
• Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), test automation and / or DevSecOps on iterative development projects
• Solid ability to demonstrate solid software engineering rigor
• Demonstrated experience with system testing and validation
• Expert troubleshooting and solutioning skills
• Experience with Cloud architecture and system design (prefer AWS, but will consider Azure)
• Strong documentation skills
• Familiar with Agile Methodologies
• Ability to accurately decompose tasks for Jira stories
• Developing integration interfaces using Python, PowerShell, and Groovy
• Experience and comfortability with Basic DevOps Tooling (Ansible, Terraform,
• Jenkins, GitLab, Active Directory, IdAM, and LDAP)
• Familiarity with Containerized Development environments (Rancher, Kubernetes)
• Expertise with creating robust test plans
• Ability to quickly get familiar with customer system security requirements and processes
• Preparation and maintenance of system components
• Experience with API Gateways, catalogs

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills :

• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) infrastructure and tools
• Experience with Cloud solution optimization
• Experience configuring and instrumenting Virtualization tools (Grafana, Splunk)
