Job summary

Akina, Inc. in Annapolis Junction, MD seeks a Software Engineer 1or2 to develop, maintain, and enhance software systems using C++, Go, and Rust. You may work independently or on a team, review code, test components, and contribute to design decisions.

Requirements include a CS-related bachelor’s degree and 7–14 years of SWE experience, with strong C++ plus Go/Rust, and Python as acceptable. The package features 24 days PTO, 11 holidays, 401k with 10% company contribution, full healthcare

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Four (4) years of additional SWE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems.
• Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements.
• Provide input to system design including hardware/software trade-offs and reuse of COTS/GOTS.
