Job summary

Akina Inc in Annapolis Junction, MD seeks a Software Engineer 1/2 to develop and maintain complex software systems, including analytics and real-time processing. Candidates should have TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, and be proficient in C++, Go, or Rust.

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline is required.
• Four (4) years of additional SWE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Fourteen (14) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope and complexity is required for SWE-2.
• Satellite protocol processing experience and ability for critical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, real-time systems).
• Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements and document test results.
• Resolve software problem reports and provide input to system design including trade-offs and reuse.
