Job summary

Akina, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer 2 in Annapolis Junction, Maryland, with TS/SCI - Polygraph clearance.

The role focuses on designing, developing, and deploying robust software systems, including analytics, real-time data processing, and secure access controls for HPC resources. The engineer will work on Unix/Linux environments, scripting, CM tools, and web services, contributing to system design and performance optimization while following Agile processes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science or related discipline with 3+ years SWE experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline with 5+ years SWE experience.
• 7+ years of SWE experience in similar scope, type, and complexity.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, document, maintain and enhance complex software systems.
• Develop and implement access controls and permission solutions for securing HPC resources.
• Lead software development teams as appropriate within project framework.
• Analyze requirements and derive design and performance requirements.
• Develop data queries and databases integrations.
• Ensure adherence to security policies and industry standards.
