Job summary

Ampacimon is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain software systems that power our grid optimization solutions. You will work under the Lead of Software Development and collaborate with international teams to deliver reliable features that help utilities maximize capacity and improve grid reliability.

Responsibilities include writing clean code, reviewing designs, and maintaining automated tests while staying current with new technologies.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication in French and English.
• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or equivalent.
• A BSc or MSc in Computer Science or Data Science.
• Proficiency in Java or Angular (both is a plus).
• Experience with SQL or Document/NoSql databases (both is a plus).
• Comfort working in an international environment with remote teams.
• Genuine appetite for learning new technologies and taking on varied tasks.
• Confidence with troubleshooting and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Design, write, and review clean, maintainable, secure and efficient code.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and delivery teams to implement new features.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software bugs and performance issues.
• Write and maintain automated tests.
• Contribute to technical documentation, architecture discussions, and code reviews.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, best practices, and industry trends.
