The Legislative Research Commission in Frankfort, KY is seeking a Software Engineer to support OCIT in a permanent, full-time role within the Legislative Branch, operating non-merit and neutrally in a politically charged setting.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders and systems analyst to develop specifications for new applications and features.
• Work with systems analysts to develop training.
• Plan, maintain a timeline for, and deliver projects.
• Communicate with other programmers to prevent duplication of code.
• Provide tier-3 support for in-house applications.
• Develop and maintain applications and processes to achieve agency goals.
