Job summary

Red Ventures seeks a skilled engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable systems in a primarily TypeScript-based stack spanning API services and full-stack web frameworks. This role supports remote or hybrid work, with an East Coast preference, and requires working hours aligned to Eastern Standard Time.

Collaborate across teams to ensure high quality, performance, and reliability, while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to automation, observability, and CI/CD improvements.

Qualifications

• Proficient in one or more programming languages and experienced in database technologies and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, data modeling, and design patterns.
• Able to debug complex issues and trace problems across systems.
• Demonstrated ability to balance tradeoffs in scalability, maintainability, and performance.
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and agile development methodologies.
• Communicates clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams to drive delivery and quality.
• Demonstrates ownership and accountability for their work, with consistent follow-through.
• Continuously learning new tools, techniques, and approaches to improve their technical impact.
• Works across a primarily TypeScript-based stack spanning API services and full-stack web frameworks.
• Comfortable navigating cloud infrastructure, infrastructure-as-code, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Some exposure to application performance monitoring / observability tooling and content delivery (CDN) considerations.
• Actively integrates AI tooling into their workflow to improve velocity and quality, experimenting with new capabilities and sharing what works with the team.

This role is open to remote or hybrid candidates (East Coast preference), with hybrid being central to our New York, NY or Charlotte, NC area offices. Must be able to work Eastern Standard Time hours.

Compensation

• Total Cash Compensation Range: $80,000 – $140,000 per year
