Job summary

Amazon Robotics’ Autonomous Mobility team seeks a talented SDE to join the Fleet Management group in North Reading, MA. You will design and implement services that allocate tasks to a fleet of autonomous vehicles and track resource state, enabling scalable robotic operations within the Amazon fulfillment network.

You will influence long-term roadmaps, collaborate across teams, and mentor colleagues while delivering fault-tolerant, high-availability systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) experience
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement robotic applications and infrastructure.
• Influence the team's strategy and contribute to long-term vision and roadmap.
• Work with stakeholders across the organization to iterate on design and implementation.
• Maintain high standards by participating in reviews, designing for fault tolerance and operational excellence, and creating mechanisms for continuous improvement.
• Prototype and test concepts or features, both through simulation and emulators and with live robotic equipment
• Work directly with customers and partners to test prototypes and incorporate feedback
• Mentor other engineers on the team.
