Ideal candidates have 2+ years of production experience, ship AI-enabled solutions, and thrive in fast iteration. The role emphasizes ownership, collaboration, and building infrastructure that accelerates product teams.

Genius AI is hiring software engineers to help build an agentic workforce: AI systems that act on behalf of appointment-based business owners. Engineers will either focus on product engineering—shipping AI-powered features that solve customer problems—or platform engineering—building the scalable, reliable infrastructure that powers these products. All engineers are expected to use AI as a core part of their workflow.

Responsibilities will include:

• Architect and ship AI-powered features that enable new capabilities for service businesses
• Build and maintain large-scale systems that process billions in payments and serve 120,000+ businesses, prioritizing reliability and performance
• Use AI to architect, debug, write, and review code, holding a high standard for output
• Own work end-to-end, from technical design through production, with full accountability for shipped features
• Build platform infrastructure that enables product teams to move faster by removing friction
• Proactively challenge and improve architecture and processes when better solutions are identified

You’re a great fit if you:

• Have 2+ years of professional software engineering experience with demonstrated ownership of production systems
• Use AI to architect, debug, write, and review code, and have shipped AI-powered features or systems
• Move quickly and make decisions, preferring to ship and iterate rather than over-plan
• Have strong analytical instincts for efficiency, scalability, and system reliability
• Demonstrate an entrepreneurial ownership mindset, treating assigned problems as your own to solve
• Are collaborative by default, making the engineers around you better
