Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a senior software engineer to advance next-generation analytics and large-scale systems for national defense. You will work on data processing, distributed computing, AI and UI components, collaborating across teams to deliver robust solutions.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in software engineering, a CS degree, strong Java/C++/Python skills, experience with modern frameworks, cloud platforms, and DevOps tools.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 4 additional years may substitute for a degree.
• Experience with Java, C#, C++, JavaScript, Python, Scala, Ruby and Go.
• Experience with IDEs such as Eclipse, NetBeans, IntelliJ IDEA, PyCharm, Visual Studio and VS Code.
• Experience with Windows, Unix, Linux and macOS.
• Experience with Atlassian JIRA/Confluence, GitHub, ServiceNow.
• Experience with Spring, Angular and Bootstrap.
• Experience with Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB.
• Experience with Maven and Jenkins.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Git, SVN and CVS.
• Experience with AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Develops, maintains, and enhances complex software systems (analytics, big data, real-time) per requirements.
• Works individually or as part of a team.
• Reviews and tests software components for adherence to design requirements and documents test results.
• Resolves software problem reports.
• Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
• Provides input on system design, including hardware/software trade-offs and reuse.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university

Equivalency: 7 years of software engineering experience in lieu of a degree
