Job summary

Smarsh is seeking a Software Engineer for the Professional Archive Search team to design, build, and deliver high-quality software that powers our search platform. You will collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Site Reliability to create scalable, reliable solutions that help clients meet compliance needs.

You will work with ideas across Kubernetes, CI/CD, and DevOps practices, participate in on-call rotations, review code, and mentor teammates.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with search technologies (Solr, Lucene or Elasticsearch).
• Proficiency in Java or C#.
• Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with MS SQL and Linux-based systems.
• Experience with messaging systems like Kafka/AMQ.
• Open-source contributions or active technical communities.
• AI-first mindset and familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.
