Job summary

Wolfe, LLC, a Pittsburgh-based FinTech, seeks an early-career Software Engineer for its Merchant Solutions team. You will develop front-end and back-end features, translating UI/UX designs into fast, reliable web experiences, and use AI-assisted tools to speed development.

The role supports on-site collaboration with a strong emphasis on ownership and learning from senior engineers, with a 5-day on-site presence strongly preferred in Pittsburgh, PA.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software development experience, or equivalent internship, co-op, and project experience.
• Back-end development experience in PHP, Node.js, Python, Java, or C#, with relational or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with RESTful API design, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Comfort using AI-assisted development tools and openness to emerging AI technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain front-end and back-end features for Wolfe's Merchant Solutions products.
• Write reusable, well-tested code and use AI-assisted tools to accelerate coding, refactoring, testing, and documentation.
• Provide product support by investigating and resolving issues with various teams.
• Build full-stack product features using Nest.js/AWS on back end and Next.js/Vercel on front end.
• Collaborate with designers, engineers, and stakeholders; document code and decisions for knowledge sharing.
