Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer for the EAA Compliance CXAE team in Charlotte, NC. You will own full-stack delivery on Golang and React, working with AWS/Kubernetes and third-party integrations to enhance CX compliance tooling for millions of Coinbase customers.

This on-site role requires proximity to Charlotte and offers growth through mentoring and cross-team collaboration. The base salary range is posted with potential equity and bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience building web applications using a modern backend language (Golang, Python, Java, or similar) and a frontend framework (React, Angular, Vue, or similar).
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerized deployment environments (Kubernetes, Docker, or similar).
• Experience with distributed systems concepts such as caching, event-driven architectures, or API integrations.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences via documentation, design proposals, or code reviews.
• Uses generative AI responsibly, with human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end development of user-facing features across the compliance agent platform using Golang, React, and cloud technologies, from design through production deployment.
• Lead assessment, selection, and implementation of third-party tools and vendor integrations that extend platform capabilities and accelerate delivery.
• Partner with product, design, security, and data teams to deliver cross-functional solutions to complex compliance and CX problems.
• Build and maintain scalable, high-traffic services leveraging event-driven architectures, caching, load balancing, and observability tooling across AWS and Kubernetes.
• Mentor engineers on design patterns, coding standards, testing strategies, and deployment best practices to raise the overall quality bar for the team.
