Job summary

DealTree is seeking a Software Engineer to own engineering as we prepare our first beta customers. You’ll work with the founder to move work from an initial problem through a working demo into production, building across the Python backend, databases, AI agents, and customer interfaces.

You’ll help recruit and mentor engineers and design systems that scale with the company, while solving real‑world problems with modern technologies. This hands‑on role emphasizes ownership and impact.

Qualifications

• Proven track record shipping features from problem to production with clear contribution.
• Strong Python backend experience with FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience shipping full-stack features with TypeScript, React, and Next.js, with multi-tenant data isolation.
• Experience with LLM providers such as Claude, OpenAI, Gemini, or equivalent over APIs.

Responsibilities

• Own Engineering Delivery and Technical Standards: from problem to production, set priorities, own architecture decisions.
• Build APIs, databases, and data gathering for company search; isolate customer data in a shared app.
• Use LLM APIs for tool calling and structured output; design prompts and evaluation for accuracy.
• Coordinate AI agents, review code and test evidence, and guide merge order.
• Document decisions and help recruit/mentor future engineers.
