Job summary

Baton Market Inc. is building an AI‑native marketplace for small business transitions and growth. As a Software Engineer, you’ll collaborate with the Head of Engineering and product team to ship end‑to‑end agentic systems that power how buyers and sellers transact.

You’ll turn real business needs into product experiences, own the full loop from problem framing to prod monitoring, and help shape core systems that scale with the company’s growth in NYC.

Qualifications

• Shipped and owned production AI systems end‑to‑end with real users and measurable outcomes.
• Strong Python skills, and experience integrating foundation models in production.
• Track record of shipping from concept to production with tangible impact.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions without a fixed spec.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and delivering maintainable, scalable systems.

Responsibilities

• Ship full‑stack AI features end‑to‑end from scoping with stakeholders to deployment.
• Own 0‑to‑1 projects with cross‑team collaboration.
• Build and improve agentic infrastructure for production inference, evaluation, and monitoring.
• Integrate AI features across the marketplace with clean interfaces.
• Develop scalable tools and systems for intelligent matching and workflows.
