Job summary

Enverus SBS Distribution Tools is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team in an early-career role focused on building and maintaining desktop design and engineering tools for electric and gas distribution markets. You will use C#, .NET, and cloud APIs, collaborating with experienced engineers to translate requirements into working software.

You will be encouraged to use AI coding assistants to accelerate development while maintaining strong judgment to review, test, and own AI-generated

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS/SE or related field.
• 0–3 years of professional or internship software development experience.
• Hands-on experience using AI coding tools in real projects or coursework.
• Familiarity with Visual Studio, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Implement new functionality, bug fixes, and enhancements within SBS's Distribution Tools platform (C#, .NET, cloud APIs).
• Collaborate with senior developers to translate requirements and user stories into working software.
• Use AI coding assistants to accelerate day-to-day development, with judgment to review, test, and own AI-generated code before it ships.
• Write unit and integration tests to maintain reliability and regression safety.
• Participate in peer reviews and follow SBS coding standards.
• Support build and deployment automation through CI/CD pipelines.
• Work closely with product management, QA, and other developers to deliver reliable, secure shared platform capabilities.
• Participate in Scrum sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Seek feedback and grow technical skills, including when to rely on AI tools.
• Identify and reduce technical debt by refactoring and optimizing code.
• Support process documentation and knowledge sharing within the Shared Services group.
