Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Software Engineer, AI Automation for a remote, US-based role. You will help build agentic automation to streamline internal workflows and improve how systems connect and exchange information.

You will move prototypes into production with a focus on reliability, correctness, and practical adoption, collaborating closely with data stakeholders and other tech teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Experience shipping LLM-backed applications.
• Practical experience with MCP and skill or tool authoring.
• Fluent with agentic coding tools such as Cursor.
• Strong Python skills with proficiency in SQL.
• Ability to translate non-technical processes into actionable project requirements.
• Comfortable working through ambiguity in processes and tools.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Software Engineer, AI Automation to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will focus on building and operationalizing agentic automation capabilities that streamline internal workflows and improve how systems connect and exchange information. You will help move prototype ideas into production-ready solutions, with an emphasis on reliable execution, correctness, and practical adoption. The position partners closely with data stakeholders and other technical teams to translate ambiguous business processes into scalable software.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $115,600 – $160,600 annually

Responsibilities
