Harnham is seeking an Agentic AI Software Engineer who blends strong software engineering with hands-on production AI agents and agentic workflows.

This role targets professionals who have built intelligent agents, memory and context systems, and enterprise-scale AI automation while collaborating with AI, Data Science, Product, and Leadership teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, SWE, or related field.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience building production applications.
• 3+ years building AI agents, agentic workflows, or LLM-powered apps.
• Strong experience with LLMs, RAG architectures, tool calling, and agent orchestration.
• Experience building AI systems that interact with APIs, databases, and enterprise platforms.
• Strong backend development experience with Python.
• Experience building REST APIs and distributed architectures.
• Experience with React, Angular, Next.js, or comparable frontend frameworks.
• U.S. work authorization without sponsorship.

Role Overview

We're seeking an Agentic AI Software Engineer who combines a strong software engineering foundation with hands‑on experience building production-grade AI agents and agentic workflows.

This is not a role for someone who has simply integrated ChatGPT into an application or relied on AI coding assistants. We're looking for someone who has spent the last several years designing, building, and deploying intelligent agents that can reason, retrieve information, utilize tools, interact with enterprise systems, and execute complex workflows autonomously.

You will serve as one of the primary builders on a growing AI Engineering team, helping to develop AI products and initiatives ranging from intelligent support agents to enterprise-scale AI automation solutions.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience building production applications.
• Strong full stack engineering experience across frontend and backend development.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience building AI agents, agentic workflows, or LLM-powered applications.
• Strong experience with LLMs, RAG architectures, tool calling, and agent orchestration.
• Experience building AI systems that interact with APIs, databases, and enterprise platforms.
• Strong backend development experience with Python.
• Experience building REST APIs and distributed application architectures.
• Experience with React, Angular, Next.js, or comparable frontend frameworks.
• Strong understanding of AI agent evaluation, monitoring, memory, and context systems.
• Experience taking AI products from development into production environments.
• U.S. work authorization without sponsorship.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience with Databricks and Lakehouse architectures.
• Experience with LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar agent frameworks.
• Experience deploying applications in GCP or other cloud-native environments.
• Experience with vector databases and semantic search platforms.
• Knowledge of MLOps, Infrastructure-as-Code, and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience with enterprise AI governance, guardrails, and model evaluation frameworks.
• Experience actively leveraging AI development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or Augment Code.
