Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is hiring a Software Development Engineer for AWS Marketing's Data Science & Engineering team. You will design, build, and operate agentic AI systems, focusing on retrieval, ranking, and real-time inference at scale.

You will work with a serverless, AWS-native stack including Bedrock, SageMaker, and Lambda, delivering production-ready ML pipelines and fully instrumented data pipelines for marketing analytics and decision support.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience for systems.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• Experience with one or more programming languages (C++, Java, C#, etc).
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in CS/Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate production agentic AI systems.
• Own the retrieval and ranking quality loop end to end.
• Productionize machine learning models with pipelines and real-time inference.
• Build and scale serverless data pipelines over large datasets.
• Raise the operational bar with instrumentation, alerts, and on-call readiness.
• Write design documents and drive code reviews.
