Blue Origin seeks a senior software engineer to architect, develop, and maintain River, an Electron-based command and control app built with TypeScript/JavaScript and Node.js. Minimum Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, or a related STEM field
• 5+ years of relevant software development experience
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and Node.js
• Experience building and shipping production applications, including data storage and real-time communication
• Demonstrated experience with software architecture, design patterns, and testing/CI practices
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Electron and cross-platform desktop application development
• Experience integrating with PLCs and industrial protocols (Modbus, etc.) at the driver level
• Experience with time-series databases, high-rate data acquisition, or streaming data
• Familiarity with command and control, test systems, or hardware‑in‑the‑loop environments
• Experience leading projects and mentoring engineers

Compensation

Compensation Range for: WA applicants is $164,652.00 - $230,512.80 Other site ranges may differ
