Job summary

HOLT CAT in San Antonio, Texas is seeking an experienced Integration Engineer to deliver cloud data management solutions and support architects, analysts, and engineers on data initiatives. You will define technical requirements, design solution frameworks, and build cross‑functional integrations with both onshore and offshore teams.

The role requires MuleSoft expertise, API management, security, and strong testing practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience integrating with Cloud/SaaS applications, APIs, SDKs of packaged applications and legacy applications.
• Proficiency with MuleSoft: CloudHub, DataWeave, Anypoint MQ, deployment and management of Mule flows to CloudHub.
• Experience with JSON, XML, XSD and other data payload formats; REST/SOAP paradigm and sync/async integration design and architecture.
• Strong background in writing unit and integration tests with frameworks such as JUnit, JMeter, Munit, or similar technologies.
• Experience with API testing tools like SOAPUI, Postman, etc.
• Hands‑on experience with Agile methodologies and source control (Bitbucket, GitHub, Azure DevOps).
• Implementation of security aspects including API security, authentication, authorization, message & transport level security.
• Experience with API Management tools such as MuleSoft API Manager or equivalents.
• Knowledge of configuring VPC and dedicated load balancer on Anypoint platform.
• Certification in MuleSoft required.
• Up to 20% domestic travel required.
• Must be based in Texas; relocation willingness required for non‑Texans.

Participate in design reviews to ensure they meet automation policies and design principles. Develop efficient, well‑structured, reusable, and scalable automation processes and integrations. Perform code‑reviews and write unit and integration tests based on chosen DevOps frameworks. Analyze and resolve automation software issues. Identify and communicate risks associated with integration solutions and process automation candidates.
