Job summary

Albert Bow Limited is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join a growing AI startup. You will deploy AI agents directly with customers, identify automation opportunities, and turn insights into scalable product capabilities.

You will own deployments from discovery through production, collaborating with customers and our core engineering team to deliver practical, high-impact solutions using a modern tech stack across backend systems and data pipelines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of production software engineering across backend systems, APIs, data pipelines and integrations.
• Hands-on experience building and shipping AI agents, including evaluations and guardrails.
• Strong experience across Python, TypeScript/Vue, Go, GCP, PostgreSQL, Neo4j and LangChain.

Responsibilities

Forward Deployed Engineer | Fully Remote

Are you an engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, building from scratch, and working directly with customers? This is an opportunity to join an early-stage AI startup transforming how businesses manage their operations.

Our client is building an AI-native inbox that goes beyond reading and responding to emails. Its platform uses AI agents to execute workflows across ERP systems, helping businesses automate up to 80% of customer and supplier emails end-to-end.

The Role

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you'll work directly with customers to understand their operational challenges, identify automation opportunities, and build and deploy AI agents that solve real business problems.

You’ll own deployments from discovery through to production, working closely with customers and the core engineering team to turn practical solutions into scalable products.

What You’ll Do

• Own AI agent deployments end-to-end, from understanding customer workflows to production implementation.
• Build integrations across ERP systems, email platforms, APIs and data pipelines.
• Develop reliable AI agents with evaluations, guardrails and observability.
• Work with real-world data and complex operational workflows.
• Collaborate with the core engineering team to turn deployment learnings into reusable platform capabilities.

What We’re Looking For

• Early-stage startup experience as a founder or one of the first engineers.
• 3+ years of production software engineering experience across backend systems, APIs, data pipelines and integrations.
• Hands‑on experience building and shipping AI agents, including evaluations and guardrails.
• Strong experience across much of the following stack: Python, TypeScript/Vue, Go, GCP, PostgreSQL, Neo4j and LangChain.
• A pragmatic, ownership-driven mindset and the ability to deliver quickly.
• Strong communication skills, with the confidence to work directly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, supply chain or B2B commerce.
