Job summary

Elios, Inc. is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to create AI applications that automate real work inside Finance, HR, Legal, and Procurement.

You will prototype quickly, integrate with enterprise systems, and translate loosely defined business problems into usable tools. You’ll join a small team of forward deployed engineers within a global technology consulting environment, focusing on Azure AI services, Copilot, and custom code when low-code tools fall short.

Qualifications

• 7–8 years total experience with at least 2 years in AI
• Hands-on integration with enterprise APIs and data platforms, including safe read/write paths
• Experience with AI patterns: RAG, prompts, context design, agent orchestration
• Cloud experience, ideally Azure, with end-to-end ownership of an application
• Prototyping rapidly using AI-assisted development

Location: Remote (US) | Type: Contract (12 months) | Experience: 7 to 8 years (2+ in AI)

About the Role

We're hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to build AI applications that automate real work inside corporate functions like Finance, HR, Legal, and Procurement. You'll prototype fast, integrate with enterprise systems, and help turn loosely defined business problems into tools people use every day.

You’ll be part of a small team of forward deployed engineers working for an enterprise of roughly 50,000 people, through a global technology consulting firm. The stack centers on Microsoft Fabric, Azure AI services, and Copilot, with room to bring in custom code where low-code tools fall short.

This is a 12-month remote contract with an ASAP start and a three-step interview process. It's a strong fit for an engineer with solid fundamentals who wants to go deeper on agentic AI alongside senior FDEs.

What You'll Do

• Build and ship AI applications and agents for corporate function teams, working directly with the people who own the process
• Integrate with enterprise APIs and data platforms, designing read and write paths that fail safely
• Prototype quickly with AI-assisted development, then iterate based on what users actually need
• Apply RAG, prompt and context design, agent orchestration, and tool use (including MCP) where they fit the problem
• Provision, deploy, secure, and operate the cloud resources behind your applications, ideally on Azure
• Work alongside senior engineers and adopt the team's shared patterns and guardrails

Qualifications

Required

• 7 to 8 years of total experience, with at least 2 years working in AI
• Hands-on experience with Copilot and Cowork
• Hands-on integration experience with enterprise APIs and data platforms, including safe read and write paths and graceful failure handling
• Working knowledge of modern AI application patterns: RAG, prompt and context design, agent orchestration, tool use, and protocols like MCP
• Hands-on cloud experience, ideally Azure, with the ability to own an application end to end
• A demonstrated ability to prototype rapidly using AI-assisted development

Nice to Have

• Microsoft Fabric experience (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory, Real-Time Intelligence, Power BI, OneLake) or a comparable enterprise data platform
• Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Azure AI Foundry, or agent-builder platforms such as Lyzr or Moveworks
• Integrations with corporate systems of record like Oracle HCM, SAP, Workday, Salesforce, Dynamics 365, or ServiceNow
