Job summary

Arena Technical Resources, LLC (ATR) in Sterling, VA is seeking a Test Automation Engineer with an active TS/SCI clearance (CI Polygraph) to design and execute automated tests for DoD-related projects.

The role requires 10+ years of automation experience, a Bachelor's degree, and hands-on work with Selenium, Cucumber, PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, and Groovy (Jenkins). Familiarity with secure Agile environments is essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in automated system testing design and execution.
• Bachelor’s degree required; DOD 8140 security standards compliance (Security+ CE minimum).
• Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance is required.
• Proven track record delivering test automation for similar scope projects.
• Experience scripting with Selenium, Cucumber, Bash, PowerShell, Ansible, and Groovy (Jenkins).
• Expertise with various test automation frameworks and agile processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute automated tests for complex DoD-related systems.
• Develop and maintain scripts using Selenium, Cucumber, PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, and Groovy.
• Implement and optimize test automation frameworks (Linear, Modular, Data-Driven, BDD).
• Analyze test results and ensure security requirements are met in secure environments.
• Collaborate in an Agile team and decompose tasks for Jira stories.

Job Title: Test Automation Engineer

Job Location: Sterling, VA

Compensation: $200,000 - $210,000

Eligibility/Clearance: Candidate must possess an active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance

Job Description:

Required Education, Experience, & Skills :

• 10+ years' experience in designing and executing automated system
• testing plus a Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Must meet DOD 8140 requirements (Security+ CE Certification at minimum)
• Demonstrated expertise as a Test Automation Engineer delivering similar
• scope projects
• Experience developing scripts using selenium, cucumber, bash,
• PowerShell, Ansible, and groovy (Jenkins)
• Expertise with Test Automation Frameworks: Linear Frameworks, Modular
• Frameworks, Data Driven Frameworks, Behavior Driven Frameworks (Would be
• a bonus for future AI development)
• An understanding of Load Testing verses Functional Testing with a
• demonstrated ability to analyze test results
• Understanding of all security related requirements in secure
• environments
• Familiar with Agile Methodologies and ability to accurately decompose
• tasks for Jira stories
• Expert troubleshooting and solutioning skills
• Strong technical documentation skills

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills :

• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Experience with other Cloud environments (Azure, Google, Oracle, IBM)
• Experience with IBM Enterprise Lifecycle Management, TeamWork
• Cloud/Cameo experience, Microsoft Project and/or Tableau
• Familiarity with reviewing and responding to system alerts from
• visualization applications such as Grafana
• Understanding of working in ServiceNow Assist with leading and
• overseeing a total system perspective including technical understanding
• of relationships, dependencies and requirements of cloud and hybrid
• services, infrastructure and security domains

Education:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field
