Zenos, Inc. is building AI/robotics systems and seeks a software engineer to design and scale robust platforms. You will own coding standards, define the tech stack, and mentor new hires as we scale.

You’ll work across the stack, tackle diverse problems, and contribute from concept to deployment in a fast-paced, ambiguity-friendly environment. Expect equity and relocation support as part of a competitive package.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in high-growth environments or elite research labs.
• Experience with AI/ML, especially object recognition, reinforcement learning, and deep neural nets.
• Systems: multi-threading, dev ops, networking, Linux.
• Languages: Python, C++, Rust.

What We’re Looking For

Excellence: A track record of designing, scaling, and maintaining robust, performant systems. A software expert first, but excited to play with a bit of hardware.

Ownership: You will work with the team to set coding standards, define the tech stack, and mentor new hires as we scale.

Dynamism: You enjoy defining the problem as you solve it, and work well with others to crack big challenges. You’re not afraid to dive into multiple parts of the stack and do something that is fundamentally new.

Location

Our HQ is in San Mateo, 25 minutes from San Francisco and Mountain View, walking distance from Caltrain. We’re building physical machines, so we aim for 4 days in-office with flexibility as needed.
