Job summary

Nastech Global is seeking a Software Engineer for an all on-site role in San Diego, CA. The position is contract-to-hire and requires active Secret clearance, with hands-on work in Python and JavaScript development, and building web APIs.

You will work in containerized environments using Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift, adhering to DoD security standards (DISA STIGs) and secure CI/CD practices to deliver robust software solutions for DoD-related projects.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance is required.
• Strong Python and JavaScript development experience.
• Experience with REST, SOAP, and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift).
• Familiarity with DoD DISA STIGs and secure coding practices.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or equivalent.

• Active Secret clearance
• Python + JavaScript development experience
• Containerized environments Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift or similar
• IAT Level II certification Security+, CySA+, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, or CCNA-Security
• Web/API development REST, SOAP, and/or GraphQL
• DoD / secure software development DISA STIGs, secure coding, DevSecOps/CI/CD
• Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience

Qualifications

• Required Certification: IAT II (one of the following): CySA+, Security+, CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP
• Bachelor's degree in quantitative fields such as engineering or mathematics (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems) or years of experience.
• Experience coding in Python and JavaScript
• Development and deployment experience within a containerized environment
