Job summary

Nuix seeks a Software Engineer to implement critical software modules with a high degree of independence in a fast-paced Agile environment. The role is based in Pittsburgh, PA, with a minimum in-office presence required three days a week and optional remote days.

Qualifications

• 2-4+ years of experience in a software engineering role.
• Strong skills in middle-tier technologies: C#, Java, Node.
• Proficiency with front-end frameworks: React, Angular, Ext JS.
• Experience with AWS and databases such as MS SQL and ElasticSearch.
• Familiarity with GraphQL and CI/CD practices.
• Commitment to unit testing, code reviews, and quality gates.
• Interest in agile methodologies and fast-paced environments.
• Open to learning and developing professionally, with optional AI tooling exposure.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Software Engineer. This position is responsible for implementing critical software modules for Nuix with a high degree of independence and requires an excellent knowledge of software development technologies.

Location

This position will be based in our Pittsburgh, PA (Greentree) office. The candidate is required to attend the office a minimum of 3 days per week but may voluntarily elect to work either remotely or from the Pittsburgh office for the remaining days of the week.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver scalable and performant solutions as part of an Agile team
• Collaborate across teams to achieve seamless integrations between multiple projects
• Develop software from approved designs and/or requirements adhering to all relevant standards and making efficient use of Nuix’s software development environment
• Deliver software via a mature continuous integration strategy
• Design, develop, and perform unit, system, and integration tests of software components
• Participate in planning, backlog grooming, and technical design discussions
• Ensure code quality meets relevant coding standards
• Maintaining and enhancing application APIs including GraphQL

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• 2-4+ years experience in a similar role
• Strong software development skills in a middle tier technology (C#, Java, Node)
• Strong software development skills in a front-end framework (React, Angular, Ext JS)
• Experience with cloud technologies with a preference towards AWS
• Familiarity with databases (MS SQL, ElasticSearch)
• Demonstrate ability to solve complex problems
• A willingness to follow good development practices, such as writing unit tests, performing code reviews, and meeting quality gates
• A desire to follow agile methodologies
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced, agile environment with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
• Willingness to learn & develop professionally
• Experience using AI technologies for software development (preferred, but not required)
