Job summary

Actalent in Newport News, VA is hiring a Software Engineer for a hybrid contract role. You will join the Access Team, developing with Java, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, and contributing to web development efforts.

You will design, develop, and test software, set operational specifications, and analyze requirements. There may be embedded systems work. The schedule is 3 days onsite and 2 remote with pay between $45.00 and $55.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship.
• BS Degree preferred. (Years of experience can replace degree)
• 2 years of relevant experience if having a BS Degree.
• Required to know Software Life Cycle Development.
• Ability to test and peer review code.
• Knowledge of several programming languages, including Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, C#, .Net.
