Sundae Labs is a software development studio focused on building products and infrastructure for the Cardano ecosystem. In January 2022, we launched one of the first decentralized exchanges on Cardano. Since then, our technical contributions and ongoing maintenance of SundaeSwap have become part of the core infrastructure supporting Cardano’s growth. Alongside SundaeSwap, we’re now developing several foundational projects across blockchain and Cardano—everything from layer-2 integrations to privacy tools and governance platforms.

Because of recent contract wins, we’re growing our team to tackle new challenges and help shape Cardano’s future. The Work You'll Do

Major Infrastructure Projects:

• Amaru -Help contribute to the reimplementation of the Cardano node in Rust as part of a member-based organization (think Linux Foundation for Cardano)
• Ouroboros Leios - Sundae Labs has been helping Input Output research a new consensus upgrade, Ouroboros Leios, and will likely continue to help them deliver this substantial protocol upgrade
• Acropolis - The future of Blockchain is interoperability; to achieve that Input Output is building Acropolis, a modular and decomposable Cardano node that allows projects to consume the core components as services.
• Butane Oracles - An oracle powering the Butane synthetic asset protocol with a novel and exciting infrastructure
• Project Sweet Tooth - A critical component for an upcoming major crypto launch; This one’s still a bit secret!
• Extend the core SundaeSwap protocol with new features through smart contracts and backend development
• Foster a rich interconnected ecosystem of protocol composability through our Typescript SDKs
• Conduct security audits for other critical ecosystem projects - technical writing with an adversarial mindset
• Adapt to shifting priorities in our lean startup environment

• Ability to work with incomplete or shifting requirements and ask the right questions
• Comfort with ambiguity and enthusiasm for cutting-edge technology

Technical Requirements:

• Strong software engineering fundamentals
• Willingness to learn and work in both Go and Rust as project needs demand
• Experience level can vary - we believe a good developer is a good developer
• Interest in blockchain technology and decentralized systems (experience is a plus but not required)

Bonus Points:

• Previous experience with Rust or Go
• Background in blockchain development or cryptography
• Experience with distributed systems or protocol development
• Open source contributions
