Job summary

Responsive, formerly RFPIO, is a market-leading SaaS company providing Strategic Response Management solutions. We are seeking a product-minded Software Engineer to design, implement, and optimize scalable Distributed Systems.

Join a fast-paced team collaborating with cross-functional groups to deliver low-latency, high-performance applications across cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure, or AWS. Experience with ElasticSearch and NLP is a plus, and TDD with Scrum/JIRA is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in software design, development, and algorithm-related solutions using Java and related technologies.
• Strong proficiency in Java programming, Java design patterns, and server-side Java development.
• Versatility in front-end and back-end technologies (Spring, React, MongoDB, etc.).
• Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure, or AWS.
• Knowledge of cloud-native services for AI/ML, data storage, and processing.
• Experience with search and retrieval technologies (ElasticSearch, Apache Solr) and AI-driven NLP/text processing is a plus.
• Familiarity with Test Driven Development (TDD). Scrum and JIRA are a plus.
• Experience in fast-paced, technology-driven SaaS environments.

What You’ll Be Doing

Distributed Systems Development: Design, develop, and maintain Responsive application ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.

What We’re Looking For

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

2+ years of experience in software design, development, and algorithm-related solutions using Java and related technologies.

Skills, Qualifications & Ability:

Strong proficiency in Java programming, Java design patterns, and server-side Java development.

Demonstrated versatility in multiple front-end and back-end technologies such as Spring, React, MongoDB,, etc.

Experience working with cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure, or AWS.

Knowledge of cloud-native services for AI/ML, data storage, and processing.

Expertise in search and retrieval technologies, including search platforms like ElasticSearch, Apache Solr, or similar, with experience in AI-driven solutions, Natural Language Processing (NLP), semantic search, and text processing techniques is a plus.

Proficiency in Test Driven Development (TDD). Scrum and JIRA experience is a plus.

Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, preferably in a SaaS or technology-driven company.
