Job summary

Airspan Networks in Milpitas, CA is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to the development of carrier-grade, full-stack cellular/wireless LTE/5G network management and analytics applications. You will design, develop and debug complex software systems that power wireless big data engines, collaborate with engineers, and ensure high-quality telco-grade solutions.

Requires a Master’s degree in computer science or software engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience with virtualization,

Qualifications

• Master's degree in CS or software engineering.
• 5+ years designing, implementing, & supporting network management products.
• Experience with virtualization tech, container schedulers and runtimes (Kubernetes).
• Working on wireless products with REST APIs, Microservices, Kubernetes & AWS cloud.
• Linux administration and troubleshooting (RHEL, CentOS).

Responsibilities

• Develop and design carrier-grade, full-stack software for wireless network management and analytics.
• Collaborate with engineers and QA to build, test, deploy and troubleshoot solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex software systems powering wireless big data engines.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable, reliable telco-grade applications.

Requires: Master's degree in comp. sci., software engineering, or closely related. 5 yrs. exp.: designing, implementing, & supporting network management products. 5 yrs. exp. w/: virtualization technology, container schedulers, & runtimes w/ Kubernetes systems (i.e. Docker, Rkt, or Open Container Initiative (OCI)); infrastructure-as-code tools (i.e. Ansible, Chef, or Terraform); working on wireless products w/ REST APIs, Microservices, Kubernetes, & AWS cloud; Linux administration & troubleshooting (i.e. RHEL, CentOS). Exp. w/: Container Network Interfaces (CNI) aspects of Kubernetes or virtualization technologies; defining & enforcing cloud cyber-security best-practices (i.e. CIS compliance standards).
