Job description

An employer in the Dayton, OH area is seeking a Software Engineer. This individual will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining modern web applications, with a primary focus on backend development using Java, Spring Boot, and ArangoDB. The position is approximately 80% backend and 20% frontend, supporting Angular-based user interfaces and contributing to full-stack application enhancements. Responsibilities include building, testing, and deploying scalable software solutions, participating in DevOps and CI/CD processes using tools such as GitLab, and collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle. Candidates must have experience with Java and Spring Boot, be able to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance and be willing to work onsite five days per week. Experience with technologies such as Golang, C#/.NET, PL/SQL, React, Vue, ArangoDB, and DevOps practices is highly preferred.

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience
• Experience writing software in Java using Spring.
• Experience working with Angular.
• Ability to obtain TS/SCI security clearance (but not required to start)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience writing software in Golang, PL/SQL, and C# .NET
• Experience with other modern web development frameworks such as Vue and React
