Job summary

Nightwing is seeking a Software Engineer (SWE) to develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems—ranging from analytics to real-time processing—based on documented requirements. You will work individually or in a team, reviewing and testing components and contributing to system design decisions.

This onsite role in Maryland Corridor North requires an active TS/SCI with poly clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline plus two years of software engineering experience.
• Four (4) years of additional software engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Job Summary

The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.

An active TS/SCI with Poly clearance is required.

Basic Qualifications:

Software Engineer (SWE) shall have experience with:

Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

The salary associated with this position ($77,000 - $163,000) is commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated level of expertise. Compensation will be determined based on these factors to ensure alignment with skills, responsibilities, and market standards.
