Jobtailor is seeking a software engineer to design and build multi-part solutions and to contribute across product, QA, and support teams. The role emphasizes testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices in a fast-paced FinTech environment.

You will work with React, a Node.js backend, and moderne cloud tools, delivering high-quality software while staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience with OO programming
Clear communication to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Proven track record delivering high-quality software on time and within budget
Experience with JavaScript and TypeScript
Experience with React and a Node.js-based backend
Experience with Nest.js, Prisma, and GCP preferred
Experience writing unit and E2E tests
Experience with Agile development
Version control with Git
Familiarity with cloud tech (GCP) and DevOps (Docker, Jenkins)
FinTech experience beneficial
Bachelor's or Master's in CS/SE a bonus

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience as a software engineer working with Object Oriented Programming languages
Ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Proven track record of delivering high-quality software products on time and within budget
Demonstrated experience leveraging agentic software development workflows
Experience with JavaScript and TypeScript
Experience with React and a Node.js-based backend framework
Experience with Nest.js, Prisma, and GCP is beneficial
Experience writing unit and E2E tests
Experience with Agile development methodologies
Experience with version control systems such as Git
Knowledge of cloud-based technologies such as GCP
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins or Docker
Prior experience working in FinTech is beneficial
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is a bonus
