Job summary

Jobtailor in New York City seeks a senior full-stack engineer to design and deliver enterprise-grade applications. You will own features end to end, drive architecture discussions, and mentor engineers across distributed teams.

You will work with ReactJS, TypeScript, JavaScript on frontend and Go/Java/Python/Node.js on backend, with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD to enable scalable, secure systems. Strong communication and stakeholder management are essential to balance engineering

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
8+ years of full-stack software engineering experience.
Deep expertise in ReactJS, TypeScript, and JavaScript, including hooks and functional components.
Strong backend development experience in Go, Java, Python, or Node.js.
Experience with APIs, microservices, distributed systems, REST, gRPC, Thrift, and Koa.

Responsibilities

Define digital strategy and execution roadmaps with clients.

Work with clients to define digital strategy and execution roadmaps
Design and implement differentiated digital solutions that deliver measurable value
Lead architecture, design, and delivery of enterprise-grade full-stack applications

Requirements

8+ years of full-stack software engineering experience
Deep expertise in ReactJS, TypeScript, and JavaScript, including hooks and functional components
Strong backend development experience in Go, Java, Python, or Node.js
Experience with APIs, microservices, distributed systems, REST, gRPC, Thrift, and Koa
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Aurora, RDS, MongoDB, DynamoDB, and Redis
Strong AWS experience, including ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and CloudWatch
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD, including CircleCI
Experience with unit, integration, API, and UI testing using Jest and Cypress
Experience with observability and monitoring using Datadog and CloudWatch
Understanding of networking and security fundamentals, including DNS, authentication, encryption, and secure API design
Familiarity with Gemini, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and Agile/Scrum
Ability to independently deliver complex technical initiatives with minimal supervision
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to balance engineering excellence with business priorities and customer outcomes
Ability to mentor engineers and guide technical standards
